Monika Turpitt, the erudite fashionista as she is affectionately regarded, originates from Poznan in Poland, and has lived in the UK since 1999. The reputation for her formidable intellect was forged at London South Bank University, where she secured an outstanding  first class honours degree in Bio Science. This achievement still remains unique at Gallowglass Security, despite its proliferation of graduate and post graduate qualified staff.

Monika joined Gallowglass Security in 2009, initially as the operations data controller, whilst at the same time she secured her SIA door supervisors license. Working in this role together with undertaking live event security work, enabled her to acquire an intimate and well-grounded knowledge of security, and in particular, the ethos and standards expected of Gallowglass security guards.

From this start, promotion quickly ensued to her current role of Health and Safety Manager. In support of this we were delighted to support her through her NEBOSH exams, which she passed with consummate ease. Currently she holds the General Certificate NEBOSH and Fire Safety NEBOSH, and aims in due course to secure the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

This role imports many key responsibilities that operate at the heart of our overall risk management strategy and these include; reviewing and updating the Gallowglass Health and Safety Policy, conducting and writing all security and property assignment risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance with, and annual renewal of, our SAFE and CHAS status, amongst many others.

Monika is fluent in both English and Polish and is an accomplished tennis player, and was one of Poland’s top players at age group level as well as being an outstanding skier. As her love of elegant fashion and fine dining illustrates, she is a lover of life and another Gallowglass bon viveur!
