Today we have the pleasure of placing under the spotlight George Mjavanadze, quite the Renaissance man , given his range of talent and experience.

Originally from Tbilisi in Georgia, George attended the University of Georgia where he studied Banking and Finance, and has recently enjoyed the distinction of having been awarded an MBA from the University of Sunderland. Following graduation, he had a short stint as a commissioned officer in the Georgian Army, an experience that he regards as instrumental in developing his leadership skills.

At Gallowglass Security George has wide reaching responsibilities as our vacant property security manager. He is responsible, amongst other things; for the vetting and selection of caretakers aka guardians, dealing with contractual licenses, undertaking environmental and health & safety surveys on property’s , maintaining standards of occupation, as well as facilitating property handovers.

George was a superb rugby player; a rugged, competitive, and intelligent number 8 who played for the London Welsh 1st XV. His crowning glory though, was securing several under 21 international caps for the combative and physical  Georgia rugby team. We don’t doubt that had injury not intervened, that he would have gone on to enjoy full international honours with his beloved “Lelos”.

Since retirement from rugby he has focused on new priorities, with his embracing a vegan lifestyle and focusing on ultra-fitness challenges. The first of which is the Tough Mudder challenge at London South in October 2014, where he will be part of a four man Gallowglass Security team , seeking to raise money for our chosen charity of the year “Rugby for Heroes”.

George is also fluent in Georgian, Russian and English, which has proven to be a great asset for our clients in London’s vibrant and cosmopolitan property market.
