It was with a keen and palpable sense of anticipation; that the great and the good at Gallowglass Security descended upon The Kings Road in Chelsea on Friday the 27th March for the glittering annual “Gallowglass Security Awards Ceremony.”

This is an important annual date in our diary. Owing to our commitments 24/7, we seldom get an opportunity to relax with one another in convivial surroundings, and enjoy the team spirit and collegiate atmosphere that prevails at Gallowglass Security.

More than this though, it is a wonderful way of recognising the superb, outstanding, and often unsung work that our guards do day in and day out. There were many fine security guards nominated for an award this year, and it was a herculean and time consuming task to choose between them, and the decision came down to those who have best and most consistently epitomised the Gallowglass Security brand and the values that we associate with it.

We were delighted to announce that in the course of the year, the following guards received field promotions to Senior Security Officer on account of the need for immediate recognition of their consistent and outstanding work; Adrian Stanciu, Howard Cox, Jonathan Krylczuk, Amary Ndiaye, Ingrid Gibson, Douglas McKenna, Alvin Soosay, Teodor Ursachi, Simon Bates and Mark Alban.

The following guards received formal notification of their promotion to Senior Security Officer on account of the consistently high standards and leadership in evidence throughout the year: Mo “Tyson” Mezouaghi , Nicolae Davidel , Gabi Chira, Hamza Ait Moulay, Mo Al Risheidi, and Hinesh Nathwani.

The annual Senior Security Officer Award went to Davor Mrda, who has proven himself to be a solid performer throughout the year to the very highest of standards, and frequently beyond the security remit, much to the great appreciation of many clients.

In the Elite Security Officer category, whilst the field was smaller, there was no less competition. Ultimately the winner was the doughty Faress Yaghi, a Gallowglass stalwart and stellar performer for many years. He has consistently exhibited fine leadership qualities in many tough and demanding assignments over the years, and in particular this seasons Hyde Park Winter Wonderland.

The prestigious Guard of the Year Award was the subject of fevered and at times heated debate, on account of the sheer quality available for the selection committee to choose from! In the end the decision was unanimous, with the tireless and energetic Mo “Tyson” Mezouaghi being announced the winner.

Mo Tyson

Managing Partner Giles Turnbull says of Mo; “ Mo’s contribution this year has been outstanding, and this award coupled with his promotion to Senior Security Officer was richly deserved. He has displayed a real can do attitude in his approach to work, with a willingness to respond positively at all times for short notice work also. What has characterised his approach, is a desire to go beyond the call of duty, a fact that has been repeatedly recognised in client feedback, most notably with the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Well done Mo, and to all our fabulous guards who have contributed to a memorable year”.
